It’s always Autumn in England

Last night was the first game of the season for the Lapel Bulldogs. This year, my brother is a senior and playing Quarter Back and Safety. The Herald Bulletin ran a story on their WIN last night!

I am excited for this football season. I understand a lot more than I did last year, so the plays actually make some sense to me now and makes the games more enjoyable. However, the weather last night couldn’t have been worse for this early in the season. During the second quarter is starting raining, but by half-time is was pouring with rain. The weather has said a 30% chance of scattered showers. We were prepared for that, not for driving rain for more than half the game. Yuck, we were soaked, and I was very glad to get home and into dry clothes.

Saturday, Evan and I headed to the Michigan City area to help friends of ours who just bought a house. We were mostly cleaning, stripping boarders, and I got started on painting the kids bathroom.

Sunday, we headed to Lapel to help work on my mom’s house with her and Jay.

We hung insulation and dry wall in my younger brothers bedroom. Here are the before and after pics of our work.
