It’s always Autumn in England

Tickets booked

We have booked our tickets. We fly out of Manchester on 3rd July. We will be taking a 2 day ’secret vacation’ and then will be heading to Evan’s parents house on the 5th July.

It doesn’t seem real yet and hasn’t totally sunk in that we are actually moving back to America. I haven’t lived in America since I was 7 years old. I have spent the last 20 years living in England.

It does seem to becoming more of a reality though, like today, we spent the day rearranging our house. We emptied the office out and now have boxes stacked in there. The office is now our room to put stuff that we are 100% decided is going to America. We have all our books in there; the keyboard; Evan’s djembe (drum); and a few framed pictures so far. Our computer has now moved onto the top floor alongside our TV/living room.

I have also started listing stuff on ebay. Check it out and look me up, my username is autierene.

  1. Hey I finally figured out how to respond to comments on my blog. Thanks for the suggestion of Hillsong. It was AWESOME. I do love the cathedral but oh my it was so cool. I have a question though any tips on finding cheap train tickets like if I wanted to take a day trip to Durham or York or Salisbury? Also is there any equivalent to Walmart in England?? I want to buy an electric razor and I can’t seem to find a store that sells stuff like that other than Boots that isn’t outrageous in price. Any dollar stores in England? Sad to hear you are leaving. I love the country, I loved Scotland. I am just a tad lonely without my friends and Kristen. Cheers!

  3. Your auctions don’t come up on eBay unless you go to www.ebay.co.uk! Ambivalence is the word. Leaving, especially after twenty years, is such sweet sorrow. Still . . . can’t wait to see you!! I love you!
