It’s always Autumn in England

I’m working this weekend. I don’t know how I feel about that really. We just hired several new support workers and moved a couple of staff into ne postitions, including myself, but because of these changes the month of Feb meant we didn’t have cover for this weekend. Somehow in a senior staff meeting ealier this month, I found myself agreeing to cover this weekend. I think at the time, I really thought we would have hired someone to replace the person we moved up, but we haven’t yet. Oh well, the girls are looking forward to me being there this weekend and it does mean overtime pay!

In other news, briefly mentioned above, on Monday, I will be in my new role of Assistant Programme Manager. I will be managing the night/weekend Support Staff (who are amazing women!!); looking after the teaching schedule and making sure that we operate according to Nashville’s standards. Lot’s of fun!!

I am currently working on a Diploma in Nutrition.  Interesting.

I’m tired. Yuck.

Well, my weekend came a day early because I didn’t go to work on Friday.

I woke up Friday morning with the stomach bug that has been going around at work (and many other people I know). Now as far as stomach bugs go, I have had worse days, but what got me with this one was the stomach PAIN that came with it. It was awful. As soon as I woke up that’s what hit me, and it was stomach cramps like I have never known before. I was nearly in tears, I felt like such a baby…

But, I decided I was going to starve it out, so I didn’t eat a thing from 6:30am when I woke until I was sickness free for at least a couple of hours. I finally got to eat some toast and chicken noodle soup about 1:30/2:00ish. Not much, but at least it was food and I kept it in!

Thankfully by Saturday morning, I seemed to be back to normal!

I am so ready for the weekend…and it’s not even Thursday yet.

Today is my dad’s 50th Birthday.
