A Post Every Day…

I have been going for posting something on my blog every day while I have been off of work. I have been pretty good at it too, other than the day I spent at the Spa and didn’t get home till quite late.

Today, Evan and I celebrated his birthday, kinda. We went to church and since we were in Bradford, headed to Pizza Hut for lunch and then onto the Cinema to see I Am Legend.

We enjoyed our time out together. We haven’t been to the cinema in ages, so it was fun. I paid for everything, which is rare! Pizza Hut was good, even if our waitress was rubbish and didn’t even bring us refils on our drinks.

Now it is time to clean up the house a bit and get things ready for Angela, Graham and kids arriving tomorrow.

Scrapbooking Book

I recently finished a project for Scrapbooking which was great fun. A colleague of my sisters was retiring and her office wanted to put together a scrapbook for this lady, Lynne. I have met Lynne on numerous occasions, and thought that it would be fun to do the scrapbook for them, so I volunteered. I only had a couple of weeks to do the project because everyone in the organisation was asked to write a message for Lynne that would be put into the book, so I wanted to make sure they had all arrived before I put the whole thing together.

I know that not everyone will want to see what I created, so I have made a seperate page for all of the LO’s that I did. If you want to see them, feel free to go to this page and see them.

Boxing Day

Today was Boxing Day in the UK. It’s the day that you spend with family/friends that you didn’t get to see on Christmas Day. It is also a Bank Holiday, so most people are off of work.

Evan and I headed to York to spend the day with some friends from church. We had a great time with them. They cooked Goose and lots of other tasty treats too! We played lots of games, including one that Evan and I had never played before called Perudo. This is a Dice game based on your skill to bluff. I wish I had known that when I started playing it, because it got down to me and one other person and I would have certainly won, if I’d have known to bluff better!! LOL

I think Evan and I might try to buy this game with money that Sarah gave Evan for Christmas. We do enjoy playing board games!

Cats

I love this picture that we took the other day. William LOVES Chaucer and he attempts to lay with her and kiss her all the time. She mostly just tolerates him, but we managed to capture them sitting together on this day!!

Spa Day

Yesterday I spent the day at Titanic Spa with my co-workers from Mercy. We all had a relaxing day and we each got to have two treatments, plus the rest of the day we could use the Heat Experience, swimming pool and Relaxation Room.

We finished off the day by chilling out together at one of my colleagues houses, eating, listening to Christmas music and playing Mafia.

During lunch at the Spa, we exchanged Secret Santa gifts, which was fun. I got a Tog 24 Hedy. They are brilliant! I can’t find a picture on the website, but essentially, it is a multi-finction hat/scarf. And, it matches my coat perfectly!

Here are a couple of pictures taken from the website, just to give you an idea of what the Spa was like.

This was one of the rooms in the Heat Experience.
It was a very hot, steam room.

This is what the rooms for individual treatments looked like.
The stones were part of one possible treatment.

It’s nearly all over

I really don’t have time to post as I should be getting ready for work…but hey ho, here I am anyway.

The girls have all gone home and yesterday and today are staff training. Tomorrow is our ‘Staff Christmas Party’. We are going to a Spa for the day! How cool is that. We each get two treatments which last at least an hour each. The rest of the day we get use of the ‘heat treatment’ which is lots of saunas/hot rooms and several cold showers/ice rooms to cool off in between each heat treatment. I can’t imagine a better way to spend the last day of work.
