It’s always Autumn in England

I got home from work on Friday night and Evan surprised me by having all the boxes of Christmas stuff out of the loft and ready to be put up.

We put up the tree and decorated it and put the finishing touches up on Saturday. Evan hung our wreath up today. Now all that’s left is to buy some garland or something to go on the banister.

Evan has even wrapped all my presents (the ones that have arrived at least) and put them under the tree. I haven’t had time to wrap anything yet and I still need to finish buying Evan’s presents.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

I have been wanting to put up my Christmas decorations for ages already. But Evan says we can’t do that until the first weekend of December.

If I could be bothered to get into the loft, drag out the boxes and do it all myself…they probably would have been up a while ago. But, since I would rather let Evan do all the hard work, I am waiting. Until then, I guess Christmas music will have to be enough.

The good news is, as soon as the tree is up, I have presents ready to go under it already!

For those of you who know where I work and what I do, please be praying for all the girls and staff. Obviously, for confidentiality purposes I am not free to give any details about what goes on day to day, but with what we do on a day to day basis, prayer coverage is essential!

I know all the girls and the staff would appreciate it.

See Evan’s Blog for details on our hike yesterday. Too late to post now and I have been busy all day, so just didn’t get to it!

At the last minute, I was asked to go on some training for work. I wasn’t sure what to expect, since it was Advanced Training for RTF, the counseling model that we use. It was a great weekend and I feel like I took away a lot of information both personally and for work, which is great!

There were four of us that drove down to London Friday afternoon and we got back Saturday night around 11pm. I was tired all day Sunday, but a good tired…when you know you have soaked up a lot of information in a short time. Not only was it knowledge, but because we use a Biblically based model, it was faith building as well, so I was spiritually charged on top of being exhausted, because I don’t sleep in hotels very well.

It’s been a great weekend. Nothing planned, but I started my Christmas shopping! I got a lot done too. Not all of it, but several gifts have been bought and well hidden!

I didn’t get any scrapbooking done this weekend, so I will really need to crackdown on that this week. I need to start getting used to having weekends off, but I have worked shifts for so long and have gotton used to having time off in the week, so only have 2 days off has really thrown me. My goal is definately to work 4 days a week eventually and have a 3 day weekend all the time. I look forward to that day!
