June
It’s the end of June and I almost had to turn my heating back on today.
Very depressing.
At least the floods up here are not affecting us.

You may remember a few months ago I posted about Evan and I trying to hike Pendle Hill, but going up the wrong path, and then turning around and going home.
Well today, Evan and I decided to go back out and hike it again, but this time going the correct route up the hill. I think it was about a 5 mile hike and I must be getting more in shape because I didn’t find it nearly so hard as I would have 6 months ago. But, I still managed to have a funny experience. As we were walking down the hill, my legs started feeling quite shaky, not necessarily tired, but just kinda odd. So I stopped and stood still for a few seconds and they were actually visibly shaking. Evan laughed at me. But since I was ok, we just carried on.
When we got back to where we had parked the car, there is a really nice little cafe, so we got a coke before heading home. As we were sitting I started getting a terrible headache. By the time we got home I was feeling nauseous and my head was pounding. I took some ibuprofun and slept for 2 hours and now feel much better.
I have also joined Facebook, so if you look me up there and I know you I will add you as a friend and you can see pictures of the hike. I am too tired to resize and post them tonight.

We are home safe and sound. We arrived on time at the airport and collected our car all with no problems. Evan and I mostly unpacked today and then slept on and of all day. Neither of us slept on the plane except for maybe a total of an hour, so we were pretty tired by the time we got home.
We watched a couple episodes of Mash this evening to keep ourselves awake and are now heading back to bed, so that we can get up bright and early in the morning for us both to go to work. What fun…trying to go to work jet-lagged!
On good news, my friend Anja, that I worked with at Gap called me today to tell me she is pregnant! I am very excited for her and Christian. They will make great parents and are due in December.
Here are some pics from our trip:

Evan and I are up in Lafayette now. We said goodbye to all of my family and fly out tomorrow. All we have left to do is pack up our bags tomorrow morning, eat lunch and head to the airport. David flew out today and Angela and Graham fly out on Wednesday. It will be good to see our cats again…and I am sure they will be glad to see us.
I am certainly ready to be home, but it has been a good visit with both of our families, even though the time always goes so fast and it seems like we just got here. I am so tired though from visiting so many people, driving back and forth from Lafayette, Lapel and Nobelsville and not sleeping in my own bed for 15 days. I am looking forward to a regular routine again too!
Thanks to everyone who had us over, invited us to dinner, drove all over the place to meet us, fed us, lent us cell phones, cars, beds, swimming pools and many exciting times together!
The wedding went well and it was good to see lots of people I had not seen for many years. You will have to wait until we return to England to see any pictures.
Today we are heading to Turkey Run with Evan’s family to go for a hike and a picnic!
