Evan was in South Africa last week at the World Evangelical Alliance conference.  This takes place every three years, and next time it is going to be in the Carribbean.  At the conference center, which was in West Cape, about 20 minutes outside of Cape Town, Evan roomed with two guys, one from S.Africa and one from Kenya.  The three of them decided that for the next WEA conference, they should all bring their wives and we could hang out together!

Now, this sounds like a great plan to me.  Spending a week in the Carribbean, meeting some new people.  The trick is, we need to make sure we can afford it.  For me to have gone to S.Africa, it would hav cost at least £1,000 (just for me).  They stayed at a Christian run Spa and I will add some pics of it in a minute.  So, what I need you all to do, is go to www.pondcreative.co.uk and then tell all of your friends about it as well, that way Evan can get Pond Creative to take off, and we would have some extra money for me to go to the Carribbean for a week!

Now, yes, it would be great for me to spend a week in the Carribbean, but seriously, Evan has started this business because he is passionate about making the Church and Christian organisations, somewhere that can take God’s word out to other people.  The way he knows how to do this is through marketing.  He has come back from the WEA, passionate that Churches can be marketed, and that this is a biblical issue….I will let you visit the website and then contact him for more info if you are interested!

I thought I would show you a picture of two of our vegetable garden.  It is doing really well.  I pulled our first lettuce the other day and have had several salads since!  This picture is from when we first planted the garden. I need to take another one of what it looks like now.

As always, click on the pic to enlarge it.

Now, I am off to take a nap before I go to work tonight.  Because Evan is in South Africa for the week, I volunteered to do nights.  This way, I can work all night, sleep all day and I won’t miss out on anything, and I think it means I don’t have to do nights for the rest of the year!

I found the comments I got on here about our website very amusing.  Thank you everyone for the comments.  I will endeavor to give you some more information regarding each one!

Yes, we do have four cats.  The story of that is, Angela’s next door neighbours were moving into a home where outdoor pets were not allowed.  They had several cats, and only two of them were outdoor cats.  We knew Rosemary & Jr had beenlooking for someone to adopt the cats for several months and then when they finally were at the point of selling their house and still had no one to take the two cats, we thought that maybe we could talk to them about it.  We went round to meet the two cats and by the time we left, we were both convinced it would not be a big deal.  They were two male ginger Tabby’s called William and Harry.  They are 10 years old and spend the majority of their time outside.

That is the story & some pictures of our four cats!

Sam, I am very sorry that you miss our old website.  Hopefully all the pictures that you enjoyed will soon be on our new website.  Evan needs to get that set up and then I will add lots of pictures.  I think they will be even easier to view than they were on the old website.

Evan and I decided that since we had the weekend off together, we would go to Salcey Forest and walk through the Tree Top Walk.  It was much nicer than I expected.  We had wanted to take his parents when they came to visit, but we just ran out of time, plus the weather was not that great while they were here.  But the last week it has been in the 80’s (25C) every single day.  It has been great.
Well, we invited Angela, Graham and Abigail to come along with us and we had a great walk together.  Then after A,G,A left, Evan and I rode our bikes on the 5 mile trail in the park.  I was slightly worried that our first bike ride of the year was going to be a 5 mile trail, but I actually made it all the way round without even needing to stop.  The only problem was I had a headache before we started and it was fine as we rode, but the minute we stopped and I sat down in the car, it came back with a vengance.  I ended up taking 2 paracetemol a 3 hour nap once we got home.  Even then I still needed to take my migrane tablets at 7 to get rid of the thing…no fun, but I am feeling much better now and it was great to get back out on our bikes again!

I am ready for it to be Christmas!  Even though I love the summer and the warm weather, I love Christmas just as much…maybe I should move to Australia, then I would get both at the same time!

Your Christmas is Most Like: A Charlie Brown Christmas
Each year, you really get into the spirit of Christmas.
Which is much more important to you than nifty presents.
